Man robbed at knifepoint in Edgewood

A man was robbed of money at knifepoint Saturday morning while he was meeting with a friend to pick up a phone that had been advertised for sale on Craigslist, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported.

The man was approached by another man at 6:35 a.m. to the rear of the 2100 block of Cedar Lane, after he was walking with his friend from the Grove Apartments at Edgewood Road and Cedar Lane, according to the police report.

As they were walking, the man jumped him and told him to give him money. The victim resisted, punched his attacker and tried to run away, but the man grabbed him and they began fighting, according to the police report

The robber finally pulled out what was believed to be a switchblade, according to the report.

The robber is described as a light-skinned black man in his late teens or early 20 who is about 5 feet 11 inches tall with short hair and a beard.
