The community wishes to extend sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Earl Smith. Earl, a resident of Harford County for quite some time, was also an active member of the Dublin United Methodist Church. Earl and his wife, Anita, moved to Knoxville, Va., several years ago.

The Wilson Center Art Show will be held in the Grace Memorial Church Parish Hall in Darlington this weekend. The show begins today (Friday, Sept. 7) at 6:30 p.m. with a wine and cheese reception and live musical entertainment. The show will feature the work of artists from Harford, Cecil, Baltimore and York counties. Admission is free and all artwork will be available for sale. The Darlington Elementary School reunion once again will be held at the Darlington Fire Company Social Hall. The event is Saturday, Sept. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. with a buffet at 1 p.m. The cost is $19 per person which includes buffet with appetizer, drinks and dessert. Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church is planning its second annual Fall Festival for Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public is invites to participate in the festival by coming and selling their wares. Organizers are looking for crafters, small retailers, flea market vendors and antiques vendors. Space will rent as follows: 10-by-20-foot, $15 and 20-by-20-foot for $20.
