Double rainbow seen around Fallston, Bel Air Thursday

Six days after a tornado touched down in the community and caused more than $1 million in property damage, Fallston was treated to another climatic phenomenon Thursday evening, this one much more dazzling and not at all damaging.

Many residents saw a fairly rare double rainbow around dinner time.

One of those photographed the double rainbow, John Wallnofer, took his shot form Friendship Road near the Fallston Library.

Brad Cox, of The Aegis sales department, took his photograph from Brentwood Park between Bel Air and Fallston.

Clay Stambaugh shot the double rainbow over the tower at the Fallston Volunteer Fire Company on Carrs Mill Road and posted the photograph on his Facebook page.

Maybe it was just a coincidence, but the double rainbow showed up about the time the Class of 2012 of Fallston High School was getting ready for its commencement ceremony at Bel Air High.
