Harford Community College Student Receives $1,000 Scholarship

Harford Community College student Daniel Schoeberlein was the first recipient of a $1,000 Country Garden Club of Harford County scholarship from the Harford Community College Foundation, Inc. The scholarship was established for a student enrolled in environmental studies and biology.

Schoeberlein, who has been studying biology at Harford, will be transferring to York College of Pennsylvania to continue his education. The scholarship has helped with his educational expenses such as tuition and books. An Eagle Scout, Schoeberlein was also involved in an Envirothon in high school.

The Country Garden Club of Harford County, an affiliate of the Federated Garden Clubs of America, was established in 1948. The club is actively involved in community service and horticultural education.
