CMW hands Tech its first boys volleyball loss

C. Milton Wright knocked off previously undefeated Harford Tech in boys volleyball team Tuesday, beating the visiting Cobras in three straight games.

The host-team Mustangs won the match with scores of 25-15, 25-23 and 28-26.

John Grotke led the Mustang effort, posting 14 kills, three digs and one assist. Tyler Durst had six kills and one block in the victory, while teammate Kyle Fishler notched four kills.

Fallston tops HdG

The Fallston Cougars knocked off host Havre de Grace in three straight games Tuesday.

Fallston beat the Warriors 25-8 in the first matchup, 25-16 in the second, then sealed the contest with a 25-22 win.

Leading Havre de Grace in the loss was Sebastian Pruitt, who had eight kills and three digs. Josean Ponce posted three kills, three digs and one block for Havre de Grace, while teammate Sean Darney led the Warriors in assists with nine. The Warriors' Paul Butz had one kill, one dig, one block and one ace, while Randy Sorrentino notched one kill, one block and one ace. Waseem Sidik had two digs in the defeat.
