14-year-old Aberdeen boy accused of robbing gas station

A 14-year-old Aberdeen boy was arrested for allegedly robbing an Aberdeen gas station at knifepoint early Wednesday morning, city police reported.

Officers responded to the Shell gas station, in the 1000 block of Middleton Road, at about 12:57 a.m., according to a press release.

A person wearing a mask and gloves entered the business, showed a knife and announced a robbery.

He fled after getting an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

Officers who were searching the area found a suspect in the area of Warwick Drive who fit the description and matched him to security footage.

The juvenile was transported to the Charles H. Hickey Jr. School in Baltimore, according to the press release.
