The mother of all Preakness victories for Harford County, "DT" was born at the "old" Bonita Farm in Creswell, was co-bred and co-owned by the Boniface family and trained by J. William (dare we say today "Billy I") Boniface. (His Preakness jockey Donnie Miller Jr. was from Laurel). The Bonifaces parlayed the Preakness victory and the colt's stallion potential into establishing the "new" Bonita Farm in Darlington, where they helped sustain the state's flagging horse breeding industry for the next two decades. Successful as a stallion, Deputed Testamony died last September at age 32 and is buried not far from where he lived his entire post-racing life.
