The Winter Park Playhouse will launch a new student-rush ticket program called $10@10 this Monday, Aug. 19. The program will offer students age 25 and younger the opportunity to purchase tickets for $10 to mainstage productions 10 minutes before the performance begins.
Of course, the offer is dependent on seats being available.
"Accessibility and affordability are an important part of our mission," says Heather Alexander, executive director of Winter Park Playhouse. "We look forward to serving our younger student audiences with year-round professional musical theater."
Students may arrive at The Winter Park Playhouse up to one hour before each performance and sign up for the the student-rush list. Available tickets will be released in order 10 minutes prior to the performance.
The Winter Park Playhouse, at 711-C Orange Ave., offers 2 p.m. matinees on Thursdays, Saturdays and select Wednesdays and Sundays. Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
