The woman who put her hand over her husband's chest moments before he was fatally shot at a Florida movie theater spoke at a press conference on Wednesday, thanking the public for the overwhelming support.
Nicole Oulson, 33, said Jan. 13, the day of the shooting, was one of the few days she and her husband got to spend alone together.
"Just to think that in the blink of an eye my whole world just got shattered into a million pieces and now I'm left trying to pick them up and put them all back together," Nicole Oulson said during the televised news conference in Tampa.
Oulson's attorney was also present at the conference, but wasn't able to give details into the criminal investigation.
Retired police captain Curtis Reeves Jr., 71, is accused of shooting and killing Chad Oulson at a Wesley Chapel movie theater earlier this month because Chad Oulson was texting during the previews, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
