SeaWorld Orlando is kicking off its Just for Kids program, which will run Saturdays through April 12. The event has a range of family-oriented activities, from dance parties to educational activities.
New this year is the Rockin' Rockhopper Party in the theme park's Antarctica section, which debuted last summer. Beginning at 11 a.m., guests can play games, such as Rock Hopper Ring Toss and Penguin Plunge, meet live penguins and Puck, the star of Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin ride. There will also be "snow moments," snacks, face painting and caricatures there.
The Ocean Adventures Kids Program encourages children to look for the Sea Star icons that indicate educational activities. At each stop, they collect a stamp and a limited edition Explorer’s card. After visiting all four locations, they’ll earn a coupon to redeem at select gift shops for a prize. This program begins at 11 a.m. on event days.
Just for Kids coincides with the beginning of SeaWorld's 50th Celebration, which includes a prize patrol and enhanced animal interactions in the revitalized Sea Garden near the Nautilus Theatre.
The Kids events wrap up with Shamu Dance Party at the front of the park at the end of the day. The event starts one hour before the park closes and is hosted by a stilt-walker emcee.
