UPDATE: Aquatica has sold out its allottment of $5 tickets tied to fifth birthday of SeaWorld's water park.
Online sales -- for Florida residents only -- began Wednesday for tickets that could be used on March 1, 2 or 3. By Thursday, the tickets for March 2 and 3 had sold out.
Floridians typically pay $45 for a one-day pass to Aquatica. There are other discounts available, including a $24.99 day pass valid through Feb. 28.

Less than 24 hours after Aquatica announced a $5 admission offer tied to its fifth birthday, tickets have sold out for two of the three available days.
Tickets are still available for Friday, March 1, which is the official anniversary date of the SeaWorld Orlando water park's opening. They are no longer available for March 2 or 3. I would antipate that the March 1 supply would not last through Thursday.
Tickets must be purchased online (www.aquaticaorlando.com). Scroll down and around until you see a birthday cake image and click on it. Buyers can only secure six tickets, and names must be given for each ticket. Identification will be checked at the gate. This offer is for Florida residents.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
