Ryeshene Bronson, one of the top wide receivers in the state's 2015 crop of college prospects, has decommitted from his pledge to the University of Florida.
Reached Tuesday afternoon, Bronson was still in class and could not talk but he did confirm his decision.
Bronson, a big target at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, is ranked No. 12 in the Sentinel's 2014 Florida Top 100 state prospect rankings and he is ranked as the No. 25 wide receiver in the country by 247Sports.
He made an early commitment to UF almost a year ago on June 14 but has decided to open up his recruitment process. He currently has eight offers, with his others coming from Florida State, Miami, Auburn, UMass, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
The Gators have seven commitments to the recruiting Class of 2014.
Further attempts to reach Bronson Tuesday evening failed.
