Kelvin Cain has wanted to commit to Miami for a long time. Friday, he finally got that chance.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound LB/TE is the 26th commitment to the Hurricanes' 2010 signing class.
Cain, who played at Clovis (Calif.) Buchanon High this past season, transplanting from Portland, Ore., picked the Hurricanes over Fresno State, San Jose, Nevada and Portland State.
He committed during a visit to Buchanon High by Miami assistant coach Micheal Barrow, according to Rivals.com. Barrow told him he might get some looks at tight end, although he's been primarily recruited as a linebacker.
Cain told Rivals.com, "Miami, I just always wanted to go there. It seemed like it fitted me. I got along with the coaches, coach Barrow. It's 100 percent done. I'll visit Miami, that'll be the only visit."Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
