Several Orlando players headed for Florida Gators Junior Day

The Orlando area will be well represented today in Gainesville as the Gators host their first junior day for the 2012 recruiting period.

The Orlando players will join some of the top players in the state as Coach Will Muschamp and staff host the first campus event for soon-to-be rising seniors. Gators early commitments ATH LaTroy Pittman of Citra North Marion and Venice product DT Omari Phillips.

From the Orlando area, Lake Highland Prep will be represented in force with ATH Taylor Barton, CB Ellis Marder, ATH Ty Law and OL Blake Fromang, who is ranked No. 47 in the Sentinel's 2012 Central Florida Super60. Barton, Marder and Law also received votes for the Super60. Teammate Hayden Jones will be at the Miami Under Armour combine this weekend. He is ranked No. 38.

Also expected to be in Gainesville today are Mount Dora's Mr. Everything quarterback Vegas Harley,  Apopka teammates RB Qua Barnes and OL Ty Darlington, and Lake Brantley RB Ti'on Green.
