Warner Christian RB Breon Allen still in with Pitt

Warner Christian RB Breon Allen said that he's scheduled to retake his college boards and that the University of Pittsburgh is still very much "in the mix" to earn his commitment.

He is slated to get an in-home visit next week from Pitt assistant Bernard Clark. Clark has Florida ties, having played linebacker under Dave Wannstedt at Miami in the 1980s.

Other schools that Allen said he's been communicating with are Marshall, UT-Chattanooga, Eastern Michigan and most recently Bethune-Cookman.

Despite some early questions about his 5-foot-9, 170-pound frame, Allen said he's gotten positive feedback recently. He said Eastern Michigan hasn't discussed a potential position with him, but that every other school he's talking to wants him as a running back.

"The only school that was really talking about me playing [defensive back] was FAMU," he said. "Other than that, they are all saying running back, which is a good thing."
