The Orange County History Center will have two sessions featuring two separate panels of theme-park designers in an event that benefits the American Cancer Society on Friday event.
These experts will talk about discuss their styles and philosophies for theme-park attractions and shows. Each session will include a Q&A, and a silent auction will include artwork, memorabilia and items from Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights.
Scheduled to appear at the 6:30 p.m. session are Mike Aiello, writer and show director at Universal Studios; Summer Aiello, actress/singer, Universal Studios; Cecil D. Magpuri, president/chief creative officer of Falcon's Treehouse LLC;
Rick Spencer, creative manager, Art and Design Universal Studios; Matt Usi, Interactive Design & Engineering, Walt Disney Imagineering; and Rich West, designer, Universal Studios Creative.
Schedule for the 9 p.m. session are Patrick Braillard, show director, Universal Studios; Gregg Dean, designer, Ripley Entertainment Inc.; Brian Morrow, senior director, Attraction Development & Design SeaWorld/Busch Gardens; Michael Roddy, senior show writer/show director, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, U.S.; Lon Smart; designer, Disney Entertainment & Imagineering; and Alan Gilmore, supervising art director.
The moderator for both session will be Kim Gromoll, scenic designer, Art and Design Universal Studios.
