Ht: 6-9 Wt: 225 COLLEGE: Richmond AGE: Turns 23 on Aug. 30, 2012 NBA SEASONS: Rookie TWITTER HANDLE: @Tru_Harp32 HOW HE CAME TO ORLANDO: Drafted 32nd overall in 2011 by the Cleveland Cavaliers, then traded to Orlando for two future second-round picks. SCOUTING REPORT: Magic officials envision Harper is a "stretch 4," a power forward who can force opposing defenses to defend the 3-point line because of his shooting range. In that way, his game is similar to Rashard Lewis'. Harper needs to add strength. He's probably not quick enough at this stage to defend small forwards. ODDS & ENDS: Harper spent four seasons at Richmond. . . . He played professionally in France for Strasbourg IG during the NBA lockout. |
