Stan Van Gundy said today he will go with the same starting lineup of Jameer Nelson, Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu, Ryan Anderson and Glen Davis when the Magic host the Pacers in Game 4 of their series Saturday afternoon.
But Van Gundy did say he will tweak the team’s rotation.
“Subtle, but we’re going to stay with the same guys starting,” Van Gundy said.
The Pacers’ starters have outplayed the Magic’s starters by a wide margin in the series, which Indiana leads two games to one.
That discrepancy has been most pronounced at the beginning of the first quarter and in the third quarter. In all three games of this series, the Pacers have jumped out to double-digit leads after tipoff; the Pacers also have dominated in the third quarters.
• Davis recently tweaked his right knee, which he originally hyperextended on April 15. “I’m going to play as hard as I can, and that’s all I can do,” he said. “I can put some more voodoo on my knee, make sure it’s up to par. But I’ll be OK.”
• The press conference to formally announce that Ryan Anderson has won the 2011-12 NBA Most Improved Player of the Year award will be shown live on NBA TV at 1:30 p.m.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
