The Offense-Defense All-American Bowl committee announced Friday that its seventh annual high school all-American game will be played at Orlando’s Florida Citrus Bowl. The date has still not been determined, but the game usually coincides with the end of each calendar year.
Last year’s game was played Dec. 30 at Houston’s Reliant Stadium, and previous host cities have been Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Myrtle Beach (S.C.) and Dallas. Orlando was represented in last year’s contest by Evans High teammates WR Dominic Walker and LB Ro’Derrick Hoskins. Walker will play at Auburn and Hoskins is headed to Florida State.
Players are selected for the game from the Offense-Defense camps held around the country throughout the summer. This year’s Orlando camp is June 16-19 at UCF. An elite, invite-only camp will also be held in Orlando July 27-28.

The event is usually part of several games, including a youth bowl and international bowl, but details have not been finalized. The Citrus Bowl already host several end-of-the-year events beginning with the Florida High Schools state football championships, the Russell Bowl and the Capital One Bowl.
