Michigan State RB Jeremy Langford a senior to watch this season

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out one of the key ingredients to Michigan State’s formula for success under Mark Dantonio. The Spartans have had a 1,000-yard rusher in five of the seven seasons under Dantonio. Last season was no different as Jeremy Langford powered MSU’s offense to a Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl win. It’s the reason he’s one of our seniors to watch this college football season.

Jeremy Langford, RB, Michigan State

The Buzz: A hard-nosed rusher who seems to be constantly in motion when he’s on the field, Langford started all 14 games last season, rushing for 1,422 yards on a Big Ten-best 292 carries. He also found the end zone 18 times. He rushed for 100-yards in a record eight-straight games in 2013 including a season-high 151 yards in Michigan State’s 41-28 win over Nebraska. His 84 yards and a touchdown in the Rose Bowl helped the Spartans come-from-behind to defeat Stanford 24-20 for the program’s first bowl win in Pasadena since 1988.
