The Orlando Magic are about to begin their longest road trip of the season.
On Sunday, they'll fly to Washington, D.C., where they'll face the Washington Wizards on Monday night. Games will follow in Philadelphia, New York, Houston, Memphis and Charlotte.
The Magic will play a total of six games, be on the road for 10 full days and away from home for parts of 12 days.
“It could be a helpful situation if guys are locked-in and have a mentality of going on the road and being extremely disciplined with their approach in each game,” coach Jacque Vaughn said. “It’s a tough stretch, though, in the games and the travel. But it is an opportunity to lock in and focus just on basketball.”
Through Friday, the Magic’s opponents on the trip had a combined record of 44-53.
The Magic will make two West Coast trips later in the season, but those trips are shorter.
