Even though Arron Afflalo is almost certain to return for tonight’s game, the Orlando Magic won’t have their full complement of players available when they host the Sacramento Kings.
Coach Jacque Vaughn said reserve guard E’Twaun Moore suffered a thigh contusion during Thursday’s practice and won’t play tonight.
Afflalo, the Magic’s leading scorer, missed Wednesday’s loss to the Utah Jazz and Thursday’s practice because he was sick.
But Afflalo participated fully in the Magic’s shootaround this morning at Amway Center.
“I’m good enough to go,” Afflalo said moments ago. “I’m solid now.”
The Magic (8-18) lost both games they played last season against the Kings (7-18).
Tonight, Sacramento will be playing the second game of a back-to-back. On Friday night, they lost to the Miami Heat 122-103.
“They’re a very talented team,” Magic center Nik Vucevic said when asked about the Kings.
“They’ve got a lot of good players, from the 1 to the 5. So, we’re really going to have to defend them tonight. They’ve got a lot of size, so we’re going to have to be very physical tonight to be able to win this game.”
