Man rescued alive from bottom of Atlantic after 3 days

After surviving three days in an air pocket at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, a Nigerian man was rescued alive by divers who were recovering bodies from the ship he was on, The Washington Post reports.

Divers with DCN Diving rescued Harrison Odjegba Okene in May, but video of the amazing rescue has recently surfaced and since gone viral.

Okene was a cook aboard the tug Jascon 4 and was the only one of the 11 crew members to survive the shipwreck, the Post reports.

Watch the raw video above to see Okene reach his hand out to his rescuers, who assumed it would be just another corpse.
