The Florida Gators landed their second commitment in the past two days Thursday night when Clearwater Central Catholic defensive end Justus Reed announced via his Twitter account that he has picked UF.
Reed joins Philadelphia Martin Luther King defensive tackle Dontae Angus to give the Gators 12 commitments to the 2014 recruiting class.
Reed, a 6-foot-3, 217-pound rush end, had 98 tackles last season, including 28 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He has long been thought to be a Gator lean, picking UF over 24 other offers.
He posted to his Twitter account @jreed_4, "I have OFFICIALLY committed to the University Of Florida!!!! I've dreamed of this day all my life, never been happier. #GoGators."
Reed is the first defensive end in the class for the Gators, who could actually be down to 11 commitments with New Orleans offensive tackle Joseph Paul's status up in the air.
