Parents of students with disabilities should have more say in their children's education and those with profoundly disabled kids should find it easier to exempt them from Florida's testing requirements, under a bill Gov. Rick Scott signed Friday, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Read the story here
The bill will "make sure parents feel included in the education of their children," Scott said just before he signed the bill in front of a crowd of parents and students at the Orange County History Center in Orlando, the story says.
