Five things you need to know about golf

•Shannon Aubert and Austen Truslow, the 2011 All-Central Florida golfers of the year, have transferred. Truslow, the Class 2A runner-up for Spruce Creek, is now at Lake Mary Prep. Aubert, the 1A individual state champ for Windermere Prep, moved to Port St. Lucie and is at The Pine School in Hobe Sound.

Lake Nona senior Ryan Stovash placed 37th at the U.S. Junior Amateur.

Circle Christian freshman Abbey Carlson played at the U.S. Women's Amateur and the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship. Circle sophomore Samantha Wagner represented the East in the Wyndham Cup and is on the six-girl U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team.

Eustis has its own version of Happy Gilmore — the hockey player turned golfer in the Adam Sandler movie. Senior Mark Craven, the team's No. 1 player who shoots in the 30s for nine holes, is on the USA National inline hockey team.

Lake Mary Prep freshman Sierra Brooks tied for second individually at 1A state, and Lake Mary senior Alessandra Kutz tied for second in 2A last season.
