The Tampa Bay Times reported today that Tarpon Springs East Lake star athlete George Campbell has suffered a broken wrist and will miss the spring football season.
Campbell, one of the top 2015 prospects in the country who has a strong future on either side of the ball, depending on which position he chooses, has 15 offers so far. Florida, Florida State and Michigan appear to be his leaders for now.
The injury apparently happened last season, but the pain for Campbell became more noticeable during basketball season. The 6-foot-3, 184-pound prospect will have surgery later this month and should be cleared to work out by July.
According to the Times, he had 766 yards receiving and five touchdowns and 44 tackles on defense as during his sophomore season.
