Five things for Monday, July 28

Five things for today in Orlando and Central Florida.

Happy Monday. It's going to be hot today and this week. Temperatures in Central Florida will soar up to the 100-105 degree range today.

1. A new poll, released this morning shows that Floridians overwhelmingly favor a constitutional amendment legalizing medical marijuana. The Quinnipiac University poll found 88 percent of voters supported the amendment while 10 percent opposed it. Aaron Deslatte has the story.

2. Imagine a vacation without your smartphone. The horror! SeaWorld is making use of visitors glued to their phones and is offering apps that monitor lines for popular rides, make dining reservations, plot routes and get reminders of where the minivan is parked. More from Dewayne Bevil.

3. Did you rock out this weekend? The young people did at the Vans Warped Tour, which made a stop at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando. An estimated 15,000 fans moshed, crowd-surfed and stood in lines for food, autographs and souvenirs without incident. See photos from the show.

4. Maybe you went to the movies? "Lucy" beat "Hercules", though both movies did well at the box-office. And at Comic-Con in San Diego: The new "Mad Max" trailer was release. Watch it here.

5. And coming today: Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer offers his city budget. It looks like a property tax increase is coming for residents. And the Delta IV launch is again scheduled for this evening. Several attempts over the weekend and last week were scrubbed due to weather.
