Little girl surprised to throw first pitch to deployed dad

A little girl who threw the first pitch at a Charlotte Knights game got the surprise of her life when she realized who was behind the catcher's mask.

It was 8-year-old Isabella's father, a Gunner's Mate 1st Class in the United States Navy who had been deployed in Germany since October, according to FOX 46

Philip Elmore reached out to the Charlotte Knighs to arrange the emotional reunion some time ago, and the COO said the organization was happy to help make it happen.

Something similar happened right around this time last year, when a 9-year-old girl threw the first pitch at a Tampa Bay Rays game to her father who had just returned from Afghanistan.
