Elementary school teacher's arrest history raising concerns

A Florida elementary school teacher who has been arrested five times still has her job, leaving parents concerned, WTEV reports

Robin Welch Kennedy, a math teacher at Neptune Beach Elementary School in Duval County, has been arrested for DUI three times, with two more arrests for battery, according to records obtained by WTEV. A DUI charge in 2012 was later reduced to reckless driving.

The teacher has also been in trouble several times with the Duval County school district, including an incident where she purposely pulled a chair out from underneath a student and one earlier this year where she was reprimanded for calling a child a "shrimp."

A district spokesperson told WTEV that they are looking into Kennedy's spotty past, but for now, she still has a place in the classroom.
