Discovery Cove has reintroduced a Florida-resident discount for its resort that also includes several months admission to sister parks SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica.
Through Dec. 31, Floridians can purchase the Dolphin Swim Day Resort package for $219. The Day Resort Package, which includes a full day at Discovery Cove but no swimming-with-the-dolphins experience, is sold to Florida residents for $149.
A Discovery Cove day typically includes a 30-minute dolphin interaction, snorkeling with rays and fish, the hand-feeding of exotic birds and encounters with marmosets and Asian otters. Packages include breakfast and lunch plus unlimited snacks and drinks.
The current Florida-resident deal includes unlimited admission to SeaWorld Orlando theme park and Aquatica water park through Jan. 31, 2014. Those tickets become valid on the day after the Discovery Cove visit.
Florida visitors will pay between $229 and $319, depending on date, during this period, and their SeaWorld-Aquatica admission is limited to 14 days.
Proof of Florida residency is required at check-in at Discovery Cove.
