Cop caught on camera tripping students

A police officer has been placed on paid administrative leave after he was captured on video tripping and pushing high school students who rushed the field after their soccer team won, KXAN is reporting.

It happened at the University Interscholastic League championship game on Saturday in Austin, Texas. When Vandegrift High School won its first ever title game.

Students from the school rushed the field to congratulate players. As cellphone and media cameras rolled, a uniformed officer with the Georgetown Police Department is seen tripping and pushing students.

An official with the Georgetown Police Department told KXAN that Officer George Bermudez's actions were "very concerning" and that he will be placed on administrative leave while the department investigates.
