High schoolers ... they love to really wait until the last minute on EVERYTHING, don't they?
I know mine does, and from what my friends say, he's not unusual.
This is why there is panic across the nation right now: High school seniors trying to apply to colleges using the College Application are hitting all sorts of glitches with the online application. The deadline? Tomorrow!
It's not like this isn't THE MOST IMPORTANT document that the seniors will be filling out. No stress there! The Common App, for newbies to the college-applying process, is an application that is accepted at more than 500 colleges and universities.
Luckily -- at least for some -- more than 40 colleges have extended the Friday deadline for the applications so that hopefully some of the glitches can be resolved.
For all you juniors out there, here is the lesson: Save yourself some angst and don't wait until the last minute to apply to college.
I'm the mom of a high school junior, and we are beginning the countdown to college. I'll have lots of hints, tips and stories about our journey.
