UPDATED: Could this be the end for Donny on "Big Brother"?
Fans of the CBS reality series will learn at 9 p.m. Thursday (tonight). With his down-to-earth charm, Donny has been a fresh, engaging competitor in the long-running contest. Bearded Donny also offers a contrast to the young hunks populating the house. Donny plays well, and the ejected house guests rave over him. Is it any wonder the others want him out?
His farewell should be quite moving.
Donny certainly has helped the ratings. "Big Brother" ran second among all broadcasts Wednesday with 6.9 million viewers, according to ratings released Thursday afternoon. The "America's Got Talent" results show was the top telecast with 9.5 million.
But "Big Brother" was the most popular program with the 18-to-49 age group and helped give CBS a win for the night in that count.
Other programs of note: CBS' "Extant" averaged 5.7 million over two hours, an "America's Got Talent" recap drew 5.6 million and "Taxi Brooklyn" picked up 4.4 million for NBC.
