Thousands of students across the country are lifting their red Solo cups to cheers to the nation's top party schools, named Monday by The Princeton Review as part of its annual list of college rankings.
This year Syracuse University in New York beat out last year's champ the University of Iowa for the top spot, a distinction officials at the school would rather avoid, according to the Associated Press.
The rankings are based on surveys from 130,000 students from 379 top colleges. The surveyed students are asked 80 questions about their life on campus ranging from academics to administration to the student body.
With that, The Princeton Review is able to compile the data and rank which schools are tops for partying, which campuses are the most beautiful, best campus libraries and more, all in an attempt to help incoming students determine what school will best suit their needs.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
