No. 2 UF at Ole Miss
Tipoff, TV: noon, CBS
Records: UF (24-2, 13-0 SEC), Ole Miss (16-10, 7-6)
The Buzz: The Gators are riding a school-record 18-game winning streak, while Ole Miss has lost three games in a row and four of its last five to kill its chances for an NCAA Tournament at-large bid. UF leading scorer Casey Prather (15.7 points per game) is 14 of 17 from the field during past two games – wins at Kentucky and vs. Auburn - and shoots 62.8 percent from the floor. Ole Miss’ dynamic shooting guard Marshall Henderson (19.4 ppg) is hitting just 36.9 percent of his shots. Henderson scored 46 in two matchups with UF last season. He had 21 points in the SEC tournament title game, a 69-66 Gators’ loss after the Rebels erased a 12-point lead. Led by Prather, UF has four players averaging in double figures. Senior point guard Scottie Wilbekin averages 18.8 points during the past five games and has four turnovers during the past four games. But not everyone is thriving for the SEC’s only unbeaten team. UF sophomore forward Dorian Finney-Smith has missed his last 21 3-point attempts and shoots 35 percent (37-for-105) in SEC play. But Finney-Smith does lead the Gators in rebounding (7.1 per game). Freshman point guard Kasey Hill, a former standout at Montverde Academy, continues to nurse a strained groin and is doubtful for his second straight game. Hill was erratic during the five games prior to the injury, with 14 points, 12 assists and seven turnovers.
