UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Weighing in at 13 tons and measuring 144 feet in diameter, this dome framework, installed atop Universal's new transportation hub, required a 300 ton crane and 40 steele cables to maneuver it into place. When completed, the dome roof will contain 400 aluminum panels, a skylight with a diameter of 50 feet and will weigh 25 tons. The dome-capped transportation hub now serves as the central point for all guest arrivals at the evolving destination resort, Universal City Florida.
