Just days after winning the state title with Eustis' baseball team, David Lee retired from coaching. A few months later, he returned as the baseball coach of Leesburg. Lee was originally replaced by assistant Tyler Crow, but earlier this month, Eustis Principal Bill Miller changed his mind and named former major league all-star Chet Lemon (pictured) as the team's coach. Crow becomes Lemon's assistant. Two other assistants moved up the ranks in their programs when two of the area's most visible -- and successful -- head coaches left. Pat Todd resigned from Leesburg to head to Georgia State as an assistant coach but later returned and is now an assistant at Eustis. Chad Keller, Todd's assistant, became the head coach. Roger Cox, Mount Dora's assistant, moved into the head position when Scott Williams left to go to Eagle Lake Lake Region High School in Polk County.
