More than 200 national recruits attended the University of Florida's Friday Night Lights open camp, the school's most important recruiting tool of the year. But there was one notable no-show at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Delray Beach Atlantic wide receiver James Louis, rumored to become the Gators 16th commitment, did not attend the event. Louis said last week that he had committed to the Gators, but Florida has yet to accept.
Louis would have been UF's 16th commitment, but given that number, the Gators' now have to be picky with the rest of their scholarships and wide receiver is a position with which they'll need to be choosy.
They want Louis, but if a guy like Pahokee's Chris Dunkley decides he's Gainesville bound, that might leave Louis looking elsewhere.
Dunkley, 5-foot-10, 164 pounds, runs a 4.4-second 40-yard dash and was easily the best FNL receiver in The Swamp workouts on Friday night.
