Obama graduated from Columbia University in 1983 with a political science degree, and he entered Harvard Law School in 1988. However, Ryan withdrew from the race amid sexual allegations by his ex-wife. Alan Keyes replaced Ryan on the ballot, and in the general election, Obama won easily, grabbing 70 percent of the vote.
