Casual to the point ot sloppy, this guy still manages to look pulled-together. He does it with color -- everything is either dark or white, except for the pop of his yellow sunglasses. He does it with attitude -- the roll of his shirt sleeves, the tilt of his hat, the way he hooks his shades over the diagonal strap of his messenger bag. And he does it with details -- his jeans are corduroy not the usual denim, and his shirt is pin-tucked down the front. Watching him saunter through the mall, a certain song comes to mind: "I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt ..." Who: Ben Coley, an exchange student from New Zealand, working as a waiter. What I'm wearing: Black cords from Banana Republic, fitted white shirt with pin-tuck detailing, Tommy Hilfiger sneakers, derby hat, messenger bag, yellow sunglasses. My style: Indie alternative. Wardrobe essentials: A scarf. But not in Florida. It's too hot here. Fashion pet peeve: Baggy pants hanging down too low.
