Lionel Jeffries

British actor Lionel Jeffries best known for his role as Grandpa Potts in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" died on Feb. 19, 2010. He was 83. Jeffries, who also wrote and directed the 1971 film "The Railway Children," died following a long illness, according to his representative, the Liz Hobbs Group. He died in a nursing home in Poole in southern England, the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP001723173" title="BBC" href="/topic/business/media-industry/bbc-ORCRP001723173.topic">British Broadcasting Corp.</a> reported.
