WASHINGTON REDSKINS

Last Season: 10-6, 5-1 division
<br><br>
Playoffs: Lost in first round to Seattle
<br><br>
Stat Leaders: QB Robert Griffin III (3,200 YDS, 20 TDS, 5 INTS); RB Alfred Morris (1,613 YDS, 13 TDS); WR Pierre Garcon (633 YDS, 4 TDS); LB London Fletcher (139 TACKLES, 3 SACKS)

The Buzz: The Redskins are counting on star QB Robert Griffin III to wrap up a smooth recovery from torn ligaments in his knee. Washington Coach Mike Shanahan made a controversial decision to play Griffin in the playoffs last season even though he was clearly not at full strength and limped away with a far worse injury. Griffin and RB Alfred Morris give the Redskins a powerful rushing attack. With teams forced to respect the run, Griffin has the freedom to take chances on deep passesthat have paid off in a big way early in his career. The team needs to improve the most on the defensive side of the ball, especially against the pass, if it wants to make a deep playoff run.

Luck Factor: One of the biggest debacles in the NFL last season, rushing RGIII back from injury, didn¿t have a horrific impact on the franchise because he made a relatively smooth recovery.
