Last Season: 4-12, 2-4 division Playoffs: Missed the postseason Stat Leaders: QB Carson Palmer (4,018 YDS, 22 TDS, 14 INTS); RB Darren McFadden (707 YDS, 2 TDS); WR Brandon Myers (806 YDS, 4 TDS); LB Philip Wheeler (109 TACKLES, 3 SACKS) The Buzz: Carson Palmer delivered one solid season running the offense, but he has moved on to Arizona, and the Raiders are stuck once again searching for a strong offensive leader. It seems unlikely quarterback Matt Flynn will be a true game-changer for Oakland. Darren McFadden is a promising running back, but injury problems have slowed him down in the past and it's unclear whether he¿ll be able to avoid them in the future. FSU's Sebastian Janikowski is still a strong kicker who can connect from long range. Oakland's defense has the best chance to inspire cheers from fans. The Raiders finished in the middle of the NFL pack in yards allowed per game last season and aggressively sought new players, adding as many as 10 potential new starters to bolster the lineup. Luck Factor: The Raiders desperately need a dose of good, especially at the cursed quarterback position.
