Last Season: 6-10, 2-4 division Playoffs: Missed the postseason Stat Leaders: QB Mark Sanchez (2,883 YDS, 13 TDS, 18 INTS); RB Shonn Greene (1,063 YDS, 8 TDS); WR Jeremy Kerley (827 YDS, 2 TDS); LB David Harris (123 TACKLES, 3.0 SACKS) The Buzz: The Jets featured more drama than your average day-time soap opera during the past two years. Outspoken coach Rex Ryan regularly makes statements to the media that highlight his lack of faith in his quarterbacks and other key players. Ryan wasn't wrong to doubt Mark Sanchez, who had more INTs than TDs interceptions than touchdown passes last season. The problem is Ryan let Sanchez limp along as the starter while expressing dismay over his play. It's unclear whether the trend will change with rookie Geno Smith in the mix at quarterback and the departure of Tim Tebow. Santonio Holmes is the highest profile receiving option on the roster, but he¿s battling injuries. Overall, the Jets seem to lack the weapons needed to collect a lot more wins. Luck factor: The Jets would be better off if Ryan stopped making statements that fired up opponents and disappointed his own team. Good luck with that.
