Record: 16-16

How they got here: Won the Northeast Conference Tournament

Strengths: Strong 3-point shooting and swift ball movement helped vault the Mountaineers into the NCAA Tournament. Guards Rashad Whack (17.7 ppg) and Julian Norfleet (17.5) are Mount St. Mary's go-to-players. The school, which is located in Emmitsburg, Maryland, is making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2008. When the Mountaineers competed at the Division II level, they made five Final Four appearances and won one national title.

Weaknesses: Mount St. Mary's struggled through nonconference play and had to win the league title game just to get its record back to .500. If the Mountaineers get cold from long-range, they will have trouble keeping up with other tournament teams.
