Record: 24-8 How they got here: At-large bid Strengths: George Washington lined up a strong nonconference schedule and scored wins over Miami, Creighton, Rutgers, Maryland and Georgia. The Colonials boast a balanced lineup, with five players averaging double-figure scoring. Guard Maurice Creek, an Indiana transfer, has given the Colonials a big boost. Forward Isaiah Armwood contributes to George Washington's strong defensive lineup, limiting All-American Doug McDermott to seven points during a matchup earlier this season. The team is making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007. Weaknesses: The Colonels' perimeter defense has faltered at times, allowing opponents to hit at least 48 percent from the field in five of six losses. After adapting with Kethan Savage out of the lineup, George Washington will likely have to work on finding its rhythm again with the strong scoring threat expected to rejoin the rotation.
