Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs

This was the private home of aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss, developer of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100408070000" title="Hialeah" href="/topic/us/florida/miami-dade-county/hialeah-PLGEO100100408070000.topic">Hialeah</a>, <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100408200000" title="Opa Locka" href="/topic/us/florida/miami-dade-county/opa-locka-PLGEO100100408200000.topic">Opa Locka</a> and <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100408160000" title="Miami Springs" href="/topic/us/florida/miami-dade-county/miami-springs-PLGEO100100408160000.topic">Miami Springs</a>, Florida. The historic site burned down a few years ago. Now the city and private foundation are almost done rebuilding the exterior to the way it was. Here, the fireplace in the living room is featured.
