Orlando police released the name of the man shot to death over the weekend in a McDonald's parking lot.
Willie Frank Robinson, 20, died at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital early Sunday morning following the shooting.
Robinson has a criminal history that includes arrests on drug charges. He pleaded no contest to possession of cocaine earlier this year.
Officers have not yet released a motive in the shooting.
Orange County Public Schools confirmed this afternoon that Robinson was a former Dr. Phillips High School student who withdrew from school in 2006.
Three teens were also shot, though none of their injuries were life threatening, spokeswoman Sgt. Barbara Jones said. Those names have not been released.
Orlando police were dispatched to the McDonald's restaurant near Vineland and Kirkman roads at 1:43 a.m., where about 100 people had gathered after a Dr. Phillips High School homecoming dance at the Renaissance Hotel.
A large group of students and non-students had gathered immediately following the dance in the parking lot of the Denny's restaurant at Kirkman and International Drive, but were forced to leave, Jones said.
Several people from that group went to McDonald's to meet up and hangout in the parking lot, Jones said. Some members of the group were listening to music and dancing in the parking lot when shots rang out.
Police received a report of the shooting but did not find any victims at the scene, Jones said . Police later determined that two 18-year-old men went to a residence in Rosemont and later were taken by ambulance to Florida Hospital South, and a 14-year-old boy went to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Police said none of them are current students at Dr. Phillips High School.
Officers have been able to interview several witnesses who were at the scene after the shooting, Jones said. Police found two guns at the scene, but it's unknown if they were used in the shooting.
The names of the three shooting victims were not released. No arrests have been made.
Robinson's death is the 38th slaying in Orlando this year.
