The Orlando Magic did not have a first-round draft pick in 2007. They had sent that pick to the Detroit Pistons as part of the deal that brought power forward/center Darko Milicic and point guard Carlos Arroyo to Orlando in February 2006. In the second round, they selected small forward Reyshawn Terry with the No. 44 pick, but they traded the rights to Terry to the Dallas Mavericks for the draft rights to power forward Milovan Rakovic and cash considerations. Rakovic still is playing in Europe right now. At the start of the draft, the Magic also owned the rights to the No. 54 pick, but they traded it to the Houston Rockets for cash considerations.
